Snowdrift Flowering Crabapple
Malus z 'Snowdrift Crab'
- Summary
- Hardiness Zone & More
Snowdrift Crab is a beautiful white spring flowering crab that makes a nice addition to the landscape. It has a rounded, dense, spreading habit. The flower is pure white and its fruits are about 3/8" in diameter and turn bright orange and hang on the tree well after fall. The foliage is a glossy green color.
Snowdrift Crab is often used by fruit growers as a "pollinator" tree in the fruit orchard, because of its "hot" pollen and mid-season bloom. The fruits are insignificant and fairly disease free.
